MANNERS
Tiger is of the twilight and night nature. Its sight in the darkness is excellent. The fact that it perceives the colors distinguishes it from the majority of the other felids ones. It recovers its excrements of ground and car the remainders of its preys in the thickets to hide them and recover them later.
Recluse, the tiger does not like to share his field with the other congeneric ones, especially with males. This one has a territory in general recovering about sixty hectares and which includes 2 to 3 reserved domains with the females. All the tigers, that it is male or female, mark their territory with their urine or their excrements. In order to avoid any intrusion of by rival, they can also announce their presence by scratching the bark of the trees.
DISTRIBUTION
The tiger is a cold boreal animal adapted better than to heat. It appeared in Eastern Asia, where one updated fossil remainders in various points of China of north and Siberia, until on the coast of the Arctic icy ocean. It gradually colonized Asia while going down towards Indo-China, Malaysia and the islands of the Probe, without however reaching Borneo.
One still finds tigers in Malaysia, in Sumatra like in Siberia, China where it is done rare, in Indo-China and in Bangladesh.
He lives all the types of forests, as well as the covered marshy extents of willows and reeds. In Siberia he lives in the taiga (northern forest of Russia).
The tiger needs a wide vital domain where it can drive out with its own way. In fact, the size of the field always depends amongst preys which live there. Less there are animals to drive out the territory more will be large. Its intermediate size is estimated of 30 km² at 50 km², but it can extend up to 100 km².
