Pumapard is an hybrid between a puma and a leopard. To date the pumapard does not exist any more because the only indexed specimens were born in 1900 in a small menagerie.
Karl Hagenbeck, zoologist German created the first hybridization enters a leopard and a puma. On the 6 small which transfers day 1 only of them arrived at the adulthood. It was high in Hagenbeck Tierpark in Hamburg where it will live all its life there. It was stuffed after its death and the skin is exposed to the Museum of history of Rotschild in England.
The pumapard can be as well the result of a crossing between a male puma and a leopard female that of a puma female and a male leopard. Its peeling is of cream-coloured color dark with clear chestnut and is full with tasks similar to those of the leopard but much clearer. On the other hand, undoubtedly because of hybridization, the size of that Ci did not exceed half of that of his/her parents.
